Collectif Review

I was laying in bed late on Thursday night when i suddenly received a text message from my mother. It read, "Collectif have half price sale online! Look on Facebook!". Now being a lover of all things vintage, i already knew about Collectif clothing, but hadn't yet bought anything from them. But with a 50% sale on everything including sale items, i mustered up the energy to get back up and have a little look online. And i wasn't disappointed!

The banner on the website included a code to put in at the checkout when you finish shopping, that gave you 50% off of your total order. Now that's a big discount! This discount was given for Black Friday, but started slightly early, and went over the weekend also. But as you can imagine, with such a big discount available, sizes were disappearing from the website pretty quickly. However, i did manage to snag myself two things, one of which i had been eyeing up for a little while!

The first piece i got was this adorable mint green/blue woolen shirt called the Jane Bouclé top. It has little white polka dots all over it, with a lovely wide collar, detailing a large bow at the front. My camera is showing this to be darker than it is, in reality it's more of a beautiful mint green, though this does also come available in a lovely pastel pink!
This was in the sale section, already reduced from £27.50 to £15. But then of course i got the 50% off, and got this beauty for £7.50!

The second item i got was actually a bikini. Yes, yes, i know it's December, but i had been eyeing this up for a little while! It is a gorgeous classic vintage style, that flatters all sizes and shapes. High waisted bikini bottoms to completely cover any tummy bulges, with an adjustable halter neck top that goes down good few inches under your bust!
Covered in a gorgeous pink floral print, this is was also available in a black cherry print, but has now sold out on the Collectif website. However, it can still be found over at Sourpuss.
I actually got this for my honeymoon next year, so even though it will be sitting in my bedroom for eight months, it was totally worth getting for the 50% off! This beauty was originally priced at £50, so i managed to snag one for £25! Unsurprisingly these moved off the website pretty quickly, just an hour later a friend of mine was trying to get one for herself, and they had all gone but for one size!

This little haul came in at £38 including post and packaging, and was sent 1st class signed for, arriving in just a few days. So i thought it was very reasonable! They arrived very neatly packaged up, with a copy of my invoice. Both items, absolutely pristine, look and feel great quality! When on, both of these items fit like a dream, and make me feel incredible!

I want to mention that Collectif have a fantastic range of sizes that fit very true to size. Starting at a UK size 6 and going up to a UK size 22, they cater for all shapes and sizes! With vintage cuts and styles, many high waisted skirts and dresses pull you in at your smallest point, and skim over problem areas, meaning that this style of clothing makes every girl look and feel a million dollars!

Collectif pride themselves on customer service, even offering advice on finding the right item for you with the knowledge of fitting, sizing and style of the items that they offer.
A great company, selling fantastic vintage inspired pieces, i urge you all to embrace your inner 40's and 50's gal, and take a look at the Collectif website.

Ta ta for now,

xoxo
